For warm-weather camisoles, openwork mesh tees, and granny-cluster blouses, we recommend #2 sport-weight or #3 DK-weight plant fibers—such as 100% mercerized cotton, combed pima cotton, or cotton-linen blends—worked with a 3.5 mm (E-4) to 4.5 mm (7) hook so your stitches stay crisp and never sag. For three-season cardigans and cozy layering vests, #4 worsted-weight merino blends or soft anti-pilling acrylic paired with a 5.0 mm (H-8) hook give effortless warmth and stitch definition.
